Bye Bye Bloating

Oh no! Not yet !

Nauseous flatulence (the “famous” farts), cramps, swelling of the stomach, gurgling of the intestines, all this is not pleasant if you feel this on a daily basis.

Why is this happening to me?

There can be several explanations and origins to the problems. One thing is certain: unless there is a digestive pathology or serious intolerances, we can reduce the symptoms and/or resolve the problem.

It's worth talking about, or at least reading what follows. For many of you, there is a solution at hand by changing a few small habits.

Swollen stomach in the morning?

If you wake up feeling bloated and sometimes constipated, it is important to lighten your evening meal and adopt a diet richer in fiber. Eat an apple a day, add bran cereal (All-Bran) to your burgers, drink 2 glasses of water a day and go for a walk. It will improve your intestinal transit and help you get rid of constipation.

Stomach that swells throughout the day?

If your stomach feels “flat” when you wake up but swells throughout the day, it is probably due to a digestive problem.

Two absolutes:

  1. Eat foods that digest quickly first (eat vegetables and fruits before proteins).

  2. Avoid carbonated drinks, gum and drinking through a straw.

Some easy solutions:

  • avoid fried foods
  • favor cooked fruits and vegetables over raw
  • avoid certain FODMAP foods (onions, mushrooms, cabbage, sweeteners, etc.)
  • eat slowly (see my 2 tips below)
  • add sage and cardamom when cooking

My 2 tips to avoid eating too quickly

1. Chew counting from 1 to 8 (or 8 counts)

You know now, I am in solo confinement which pushes me to eat more quickly or to eat while listening to Netflix.
To avoid this, I count from 1 to 8. Since I like several styles of music, I count 8 beats / 2 bars while listening to Spotify 😉

2. Enjoy what you eat

The second tip is to enjoy what you eat. Sometimes the perfect bite is worth paying attention to. Appreciate the moment and make the most of it.

Here are some HERBANICA solutions:

There DETOX 10 DAYS helps cleanse the liver. Basically, bile is essential for assimilating and digesting fatty foods. Both the liver and bile must be efficient.

THE EMPRESS: It contains sage and lemon balm. Both help reduce spasms (cramps) and bloating.

GOOD ABOUT MYSELF: This herbal tea contains several ingredients that help control mood and fluctuations in your sugar levels.

ETERNITY TEA (JIAOGULAN): Jiaogulan is an adaptogen that helps regulate blood sugar, cholesterol and helps optimize liver function.

Good week!

Take care of yourself!
