Save your skin!

I am confined alone in my house. My 21 year old twins are together, a few miles from here. I have virtual happy hours that are multiplying with friends that I adore. We adapt to work, to the grocery store, to ZOOM apps and co.

But I can't adapt to the absence of physical contact. A hug. Just one…

So, to satisfy this need to hold a human in my arms,I write you a few lines on the skin. (Sorry Kiwee, affectionate little kitty, you are no match for a real hug from a biped).

Do you know how much your skin saves your life?

The skin is your first line of defense against viruses and bacteria. You are alive because it absorbs UV rays, acts as a protective barrier, regulates your body temperature, produces vitamin D and self-heals when you get injured. Furthermore, without the skin, the sense of touch would lose… all its meaning!

Over the years, cell regeneration decreases, fine lines appear and the skin loses its suppleness.

Skin aging is accentuated by environmental factors (pollution and UV rays), but it is largely caused by free radicals and enzymes that destroy collagen.

Antioxidants against free radicals

You already know it. You need to consume antioxidants to fight free radicals. You can eat them (fruits, vegetables) and/or drink them. Quality teas and herbal teas contain a high concentration of polyphenols and catechins (these are antioxidants) which inhibit the devastating effect of free radicals.

White tea (closely followed by green tea) contains a lot of antioxidants. It protects the skin against UV rays and we can without hesitation call it “anti-aging” tea.

And the collagen in all this?

Studies have shown that the polyphenols and catechins in white tea combined with the anti-oxidative effect of vitamin C inhibit the enzymes responsible for the loss of collagen and therefore the elasticity of your skin.

I offer you two HERBANICA blends that combine plants and white tea to stock up on vitamin C and antioxidants. In addition to feeling the benefits on your skin, your immune system will benefit from the additional intake of vitamin C.

There DIVINE BEAUTY herbal tea contains roses, hibiscus and rosehip petals. These plants are anti-inflammatory and very rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.

Tisane THE EMPRESS because beauty comes from within! 😊 This delicious herbal tea contains ingredients to digest well and pamper your skin.

These 2 HERBANICA blends contain very little caffeine (less than 10mg) and they can be drunk at any time of the day.

Something you need to know or be told again...

Hydrate logically! Drink water, tea, herbal teas, spritzers, eat cucumbers or soup, it's up to you. At least 1.5L of water (regardless of its form) daily, the epidermis gains elasticity and softness, its appearance is smoother. Not sure if you're drinking enough? Go pee! If your urine is transparent light yellow, it's good! Darker than that and well, you know what to do.
